Different Materials Used for Modern Patio Furniture

Compared to the traditional types of furniture, modern patio furniture is made of different materials.

Patio furniture made of wood are more prone to fading brought about by climate changes. To keep its luster, you need to treat the wood which must be done once a year. Non-treatment of wooden patio furniture will make it to have a grayish or silver shade. Do not buy any wood treatment products, though. To ensure that you are getting the appropriate product, buy it from a furniture store or your local hardware store. Do not apply it directly on your furniture. Test it first on the underside of the chairs or tables.

Patio furniture pieces made of teak wood are good choices for they do not require much pampering. Maintenance is not that fussy, too. Teak wood is durable and is sure to last you a lifetime. They can stand any weather conditions and resists distortion. The only downside of teak wood patio furniture is they are costlier, which is attributed to the scarcity of teak wood. The cushions may need to be replaced often but your teak patio chairs will remain in good condition.
Wicker is another material used for modern patio furniture. Like teak wood, wicker is durable and long-lasting. Steel or aluminum may be used as frame for patio furniture made of wicker. They similarly defy climate conditions, easy to clean and maintain and convenient.
